Can I stream a film or do I have to download it in full?
It's your choice! VoD.lu supports streaming and download on PCs (Windows 7 or higher), Macs (Mac OSX 10.7 or higher), iOS (7.0 or higher -- with our app only) and Android (4.3 or higher - with our app only) devices. If your connection is slow, we recommend downloading your film before watching it. We do not support Smart TVs, games consoles or other operating systems at this time. You can however connect your computer to your TV using an AV cable (e.g. HDMI). Please refer to your Computer and TV User's manuals.
Can I stop a film and continue later from the same point I left off?
Yes you can! You can stop a film and continue later at the same point on the same device. However, if you were not connected to the internet while watching, this feature will not be available.
What are the technical requirements to watch a film?
To access the Service, users must either use a PC with Windows 7, a Mac with OSX 10.5, a tablet or a smartphone with iOS 7.0 or Android 4.3, or any later version of the operating systems.
It is not possible to stream our DRM-protected content or to install the VoD.lu player on computers running on a Linux operating system.
Browsing VoD.lu requires a recent browser compatible with modern Internet standards (HTML5 / CSS3). The website is specifically compatible with the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 10 (PC)
- Firefox 28 (PC or Mac)
- Chrome 35 (PC or Mac)
- Safari 6 (Mac)
Compatibility with later versions of these browsers will also be guaranteed.

Can I watch my film on multiple devices?
Yes you can. You can view your film on up to 5 devices.
How long will my rented film be available?
Once rented, your film will be available in your account for 30 days. Once you press play, the rental period begins and you have 48 hours to watch the film as many times as you like. You can pause your film and come back to it at a time that suits or if you really enjoyed itjust watch it all over again from the beginning.

When I purchase a film, how long do I have to watch it?
When you purchase a film to own (if the option is available), its yours to keep forever! If you lose the video file, you can simply download it again from your account as long as the film is still on offer on VoD.lu.

How does the download feature work?
On your first order, you'll be asked to download the VoD.lu player application, which requires the installation of Adobe AIR. Once the VoD.lu Player is installed, your film download will start automatically.
What are the advantages of downloading?
If you download your film, you can watch it offline, without being connected to the internet. This is useful when travelling. In addition, if your internet connection is slow or unstable, we recommend you download -- rather than stream -- your film to avoid any issues like freezing or jumping.
How do I know if my film has downloaded?
You can find your downloaded films in your VoD.lu player application. The application is accessible from the list of programs on your computer (Start / All Programs) or shortcut on your desktop.
What will happen if my computer shuts down while a download is in progress?
It is possible to pause a download in progress and resume whenever you want. If your computer shuts down unexpectedly while a download is in progress, the download will resume automatically when you restart the VoD.lu player application.
Can I start watching my film if the download is not yet complete?
No, you must wait for the full film to be downloaded before you start playback.
What is the size of the film that I download and how long will it take?
The size of one hour of video is roughly 700MB (Standard Definition). Depending on your internet connection, you could need anywhere from 5 to 60 minutes to download one hour of video.
Can I move my downloaded films on my computer?
Yes you can move downloaded films to your computer by changing the parameters of the path in the VoD.lu player application. Warning: this operation is for experienced users only.

How can I pay for my film?
VoD.lu offers different payment methods:
You can pay by credit or debit card through Paybox or Paypal.
If you have a promotional code, you can enter it at the point of payment. The promotional discount will be applied and the new amount will be recalculated automatically.
A KinoPass is a prepaid card offering you reduced prices on your rentals. No need to enter your payment details each time you rent a film.
